The Power of Rain

Set in the 1950s, Jenny a teenager who struggles with systemic lupus meets Ethan Mathis, a Holocaust survivor in a New York hospital. The two meet again aboard an ocean liner heading for Italy: he to teach for a year and she to enter an experimental medical program. He is older and married but he helps Jenny fight her illness and she helps Ethan hunt for his sister who may or may ot have survived Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
